Reaves: week fourteen

Our Reavesy boy, Little Joe Joe, Buddy, Boo Boo, Bubba, turned 3 months old on Tuesday!

I have loved and lauged more in the last three months than I feel like I have in my entire life!
You are my sunshine, my breath of fresh air, my Reavesy Boy!

Reaves:week thirteen

Our dear friend Christine and her twin boys came to Smithfield for a day on there way down from Maryland! Jack and Charlie will be 3 in September! They gave me a little taste of what it's going to be like with Reaves in a few years!

Jack wants to see your car! Everybody that came over "which one is your car?" As soon as he wakes up and right before he goes to bed and all in between he is interested in cars. He can read Jeep, VW, etc. Christine says he wanted a Mercedes at one time. Forget matchbox cars he wants the real thing! When they were leaving he was giving his kisses to all of us and then he bent down and kissed my car! I about fell over! After he had literally talked about cars for 24 hours he bent down and gave my license plate a smack!

Charlie is all about dinosaurs :) He knows all about them. For Jack its cars for Charlie it's dinosaurs. He loves his mommy and looks just like her too! He loves his cartoons and wanted to play outside constantly! He also loves to stand on dressers and jump on air mattresses! ha ha We had so much fun!

On Saturday we headed to Wilmington for the night to stay with Claire and Will for Meghan's 30th birthday pig pickin! We had a great time celebrating with the birthday girl and friends! There new house is just beautiful with a HUGE yard!

Happy Happy 30th Meghan!

"Nothing compares to the moment you were placed in my arms
and I kissed your sweet baby face for the first time. Complete
love and indescribable joy filled my heart from that day on."
I had to leave my sweet baby boy to go back to work this week :(  It was a little easier as I left him sleeping on his daddy's chest and knew he would be loved on all day! I am thankful to have family to care for our son while I work. Although I miss him through the day when I get home I embrace every sweet moment we have together. I cant stop smiling a I gaze into his eyes and know that he will be my son forever.

Reaves: week eleven

FUN IN THE SUN!

On Monday we had a fun day in the sun with our Bridget, our nephew Joey, his friend Mason, and our nieces Kelly and Abby. While little man stayed inside with Granny!

Joe took us for a boat ride and the kids went tubing. Bridget and I even got on the tube. My ear is still hurting from our blow out. But that's ok because I got Joe back big time!!!!!

Here are a few mobile uploads below because I lost my camera charger and couldn't break out my camera! Oh but you know I wanted to!

So I've started selling this new line of jewelry Stella and Dot and I had my very first party on Tuesday at my friend Jennifer's Hallmark store. It was such a fun time! We had a great turnout and I sold a lot of gorgeous jewels to some lovely ladies! I was a little nervous about taking this on, but am so glad I did! I'm making extra money for our family while having fun! Plus I have a new jewelry wardrobe!

check out the fabulous new fall line at www.stelladot.com/carsoncat

I also had a party at my sister's Thursday night and got to meet a lot of her fabulous friends! Fun times!

On Friday we headed back to Joe's parents to spend time with them and his brother John his wife Sara and her parents.

They are expecting!!!!!!!! I get to be an aunt again and Reaves gets a cousin close in age! Oh the fun to be had. So on Saturday morning we got to find out the sex! We were on pins and needles as they day before they tried to find out on the ultra sound for a hour with no luck! But within a few seconds the next day they announced it's a BOY! Reaves and his baby boy cousin will be 8 months apart! I am so happy for John and Sara! Thanks for letting us be apart of such a special occasion!

Later that night we had a Low Country Boil out by the water. It was a perfect night with a cool breeze! There is nothing like picking crabs and laughing with family!

We did the beach thing Saturday. Ok the beach with a baby is overrated. It took us 30 minutes to figure out how to set up the little tent, sand was getting in his diaper, and it was a scorcher. Long gone are the days of taking my little beach bag and my 1 chair with a book in tow. But I wouldn't have it any other way and after about a hour we were DONE!

MORE PICS TO COME!

Reaves: week ten

Happy 4th of July!

Reaves started his first July 4th at the neighborhood parade! Emily donned her crown, Reaves his 4th of July outfit/bathing suit, and even Annie had on her fourth of July attire! Sandra brought over all this red, white, and blue paraphernalia to decorate Reaves' stroller. It was too cute!

My little firecracker!

After the parade we headed to the pool to meet the Fishers! Boy it was hot! Reaves took a few dips in the pool with me and slept under the shade for a bit! We played motor boat, motor boat, go so slow, motor boat, motor boat, go so fast, motor boat motor boat step on the gas! My mom used to play that with me in the pool when I was little and I LOVED it!

Later that evening we went to to the Fishers for a cookout! We had a great time and meal! George even set off a few fireworks for us and the kids had smores! FUN TIMES!

Reaves: week nine

Sweet Annie came to visit Reaves this week! She has known me my whole life and is a very special lady to our family! We enjoyed her visit so much and Reaves was in the best mood the whole time she was here!

Gina made Reaves this tie onseie. It's so fitting since one of my many nicknames for him is little man! A lot of people will say he looks like an old man! I guess it's because he doesn't have any teeth yet nor much hair in the front! ha ha Well he is the cutest little man I've ever seen!!!!

Friday we had an eventful celebration at my Aunt Jackie and Uncle Joe's house. Miranda their granddaughter turned two and my cousin Rod was home from his deployment. We haven't seen him years. We had a great time catching up and watching all the kids run around! One of them even dialed 911 and yelled the police were on the way! We thought they were joking until the Police called back! Oh gosh we are going to get it twice as bad as our parents I do believe!

Happy 2nd Birthday Miranda!

The babes turned two months old on Saturday! I compared his month one and two pictures and he really does look the same except he is a little fuller! He was even able to give me some real smiles. I love this stage the cooing, smiling, and following me around the room with his eyes. Even though I get sad knowing he is getting older with each passing breath, I also am so very excited about the ages and stages to come!

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle."

My favorite of the 200 I took!

We spent the weekend down at the River on Albermarle Sound at my Aunt Judy and Uncle David's place. It is so relaxing.....that place just puts us in a sleep coma! We caught up on some much needed rest, played in the water, went for a sunset cruise on the boat, read books, and ate some yummy food! Oh how I love spending time there with Big Dave and Ju Ju! The baby actually liked the water!!!! He looked so cute rocking his little 4th of July attire! His shirt says Mommy's little firecracker!
